Akane, W 55th street at NYC.
16" X 20", acrylic ink on Rives BFK
My former classmate Akane moved to New York two years ago. Before she leave San Francisco, she was kind enough to pose for me in south park, which its favorite lunch break spot around our fine art campus. Anyway, this summer I was really happy to hang out with her again in NYC, and found her more stylish then ever. So I drew her again, in her vintage summer dress, at mid town Manhattan. We had a fun conversation about if we are a painting, which one we would be. For me she looks like one of the girl from Klimt's painting.
